Debra Ruegg recently re-joined the First Children’s Finance staff as director of consulting. She has a long history with First Children’s first as consultant and then as First Children’s Growth Fund manager, guiding the development of this signature program. Debra’s background as a principal with LarsonAllen Public Service Group and consultant with The Stevens Group gives her extensive experience in nonprofit operational and financial consulting and also in capacity-building fund development programs similar to the Growth Fund. Deb also managed the Working Capital Loan Fund, a program funded by the Ford Foundation to provide access to capital for mid-sized, culturally-specific arts organizations. She has also co-authored two books: Bookkeeping Basics: What Every Nonprofit Bookkeeper Needs to Know and Budgeting Your Way to Financial Stability.
