First Children’s Finance Introduces Quality First Grant and Loan Packages
3/3/2008 3:00 PM

First Children’s Finance has introduced a new grant and loan package called Quality First. This special financing package is designed to help child care centers pay for quality improvements and facility expansion. “We’re committed to quality child care,” said Gerald Cutts, President and CEO of First Children’s Finance. “That’s why we’re offering this special program. We want to support centers who are working hard to improve the quality of care they provide.”

Quality First financing packages include a minimum loan of $25,000 plus an additional grant worth 10% of the loan amount up to a maximum grant of $5,000. To qualify for one of these packages, a center must demonstrate its commitment to quality care, serve children from low-income households, be in good standing with the state licensing agency, and be at least two-years-old.

Funding for Quality First is limited, so child care centers are encouraged to apply without delay. For more information, contact Mara O’Neill, telephone (612) 279-6502, or by email mara@firstchildrensfinance.org.
