Business & Financial Fundamentals Workshops to be Offered

First Children’s Finance will offer Business & Financial Fundamentals for Center-Based Child Care Programs in conjunction with the 2019 Iowa Early Learning Fall Insitute.
 
 Business & Financial Fundamentals for Center-Based Child Care Programs
Business & Financial Fundamentals for Center-Based Child Care is a series of eight modules designed to introduce, demystify and engage participants in the fundamental business practices you need to operate a quality sustainable child care center. Developed and presented by First Children’s Finance with support from Northwest Area Foundation, this series is geared toward child care center and preschool directors, managers, owners and board members.  

 Join First Children’s Finance experienced trainers; Angie Rae Duncan, Senior Business Development Specialist, and Heidi Schlueter, Regional Director; for the first four of eight modules. This workshop will get your Institute and year off to a great start with the fundamental practices you need to operate your child care business; including child care business planning, marketing, financial statements, policies and practices, and cash flow budgeting. The remaining 4 modules will be available as webinars for those who are interested in completing the series.

Date & Location:
October 3, 2019, 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m., Altoona, Iowa **This training is being offered as Pre-Institute session in conjunction with the Early Learning Fall Institute**

Audience: Child care center and preschool directors, assistant directors, owners, and board members.

Credit Hours: Provides 6 hours of Iowa DHS training credit and NAC renewal hours.
