First Children Finance’s 2022 ECE Collaboratory Convening

In September, First Children’s Finance hosted an in-person convening of the ECE Business Collaboratory. The Collaboratory brought together three cohorts of state teams for multiple days of presentations, connections to national thought leaders, and dedicated time to collaborate and share learnings regarding  progress to support a systemic approach to addressing the business side of child care.

We are happy to share some our favorite moments from the 3-day convening where the roster of states included Alaska, Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, South Carolina, Texas, Washington, D.C., along with our most recent additions to the Collaboratory, the states of Hawaii and Maine.

Throughout the convening each state shared their strategic plan to address the business needs of child care. State teams that were in the inaugural 2019 cohorts shared the results of their Collaboratory strategic plan implementation. The convening provided a chance for child care systems representatives to explore innovative ideas, share best practices, encourage replication of successes, and provide support to one another after years of working remotely through the pandemic. We hope this glimpse into the event provides insight into the supportive environment provided by FCF.
