First Children’s Finance is excited to announce the launch of the

Vermont Business and Technical Assistance Program!

The Vermont Business and Technical Assistance Program (BTAP) provides expert business training, technical assistance and consulting to help start, sustain, and grow child care businesses. The BTAP is made possible through a grant to FCF by the Vermont Agency of Human Services, Department for Children and Families, Child Development Division.

The Vermont BTAP is a partnership between First Children’s Finance and Let’s Grow Kids.

State of Vermont Child Care Businesses Survey

On behalf of our Vermont team, Cathy, Deb, Jen, Rose, and I, we hope you will take a few minutes to complete the annual State of Vermont Child Care Businesses survey. And just to make it fun, we will draw five $25 Amazon gift cards from those who complete the survey and include their contact information.

Pandemic Business Lessons: Carrying Forward Learnings into Your Business Management

Child care entrepreneurs, look back at the business management lessons you learned
(sometimes the hard way!) during the early days of the pandemic, the Stabilization Grant Program, and
economic recovery, and reflect on ways you can apply those lessons to the future.

Results of the Vermont Child Care Business Survey

In February 2023, FCF asked child care entrepreneurs to report on the current state of their businesses. Watch a recording of the webinar that highlights the results of the survey and what we learned about the sector’s current health, capacity, and challenges.
