Navigating the Early Years: Focus Groups for New Child Care Business Owners in Oregon
If you started a new child care business in Oregon in the last two years – or are in the process of opening a new child care program – we want to hear from you!
First Children’s Finance is hosting focused sessions to hear from child care entrepreneurs about the experience of starting a child care business in Oregon. Insights from these sessions will be used to inform recommendations made to state officials about how to better support child care business owners in the critical years after launch.
Dates: July 22, July 24, August 26, August 28, 2024
Time: 6-7 pm PST
Compensation: $25 (Attestation required agreeing to spend funds on allowable items.)

Oregon Child Care Funding Program Resources
First Children’s Finance, in partnership with the Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care, has developed funding program resources packed with tips and tricks to help providers prepare for participation in Oregon’s public funding programs. These resources will help provide a clear understanding of Employment Related Day Care, Preschool Promise, and Baby Promise through comprehensive program overviews. Additionally, the self-assessment tools will help gauge your readiness to participate in these programs, ensuring you are well-prepared to secure and optimize public funding for your child care business.
